Oana Lianu was born on March 7, 1976, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. In 1999, she graduated the Music Academy George Dima in Cluj-Napoca, being at the moment lecturer at the Music Academy in Oradea, Bihor, Romania. She leads the Departments Folklore and Folklore Orchestra, becoming the first female conductor of a folklore orchestra in Romania.
Oana Lianu is PhD in Music (magna cum laude) since 2005, her dissertation The Panpipe between Tradition and Modernism is the first in the world which treats the panpipe at an academic level. The artist launched 3 books: The Panpipe between Tradition and Modernism, Method for Panpipe and Romanian Musical Folklore, and she also released 4 Cds, folklore, classical music and Christmas carols.
World famous panpipe artist, called The Princess of Panpipe, Oana Lianu concerts all over the world, being invited as a great instrumentalist as well as a lecturer at the internationals music conferences.
The Christmas Carols live concert, proposes an unforgettable invaluable spiritual dowry, inherited from our ancestors, together with an international repertory, real masterpieces of this genre.
