Pichette, Hawlii: - Hawlii Pichette is a Mushkego Cree (Treaty 9) urban mixed-blood artist and illustrator born and raised in the small community of Cochrane, Ontario. Her work is deeply influenced by her culture and upbringing, and reflects the beautiful interconnections of the natural world. Her practice includes illustrations, digital artwork, painting, murals, and beadwork. Hawlii graduated from Fanshawe College's advanced Fine Art program with Honors in 2017, receiving the Satellite Award exhibition. She currently lives and works as a freelance artist in London, Ontario.
