O poveste foarte reușită în versuri. Stick Man este un bețișor plin de viață, care este perceput foarte diferit de cei din jur. Pe parcursul poveștii are diverse roluri: un baț bun de aruncat pentru câine, o crenguță buna de construit un cuib, un steag bun de pus pe castel sau chiar un lemn bun de pus pe foc. Tot ce își dorește este sa se întoarcă acasă la familia lui.
