A Deadly Suggestion

Young and insecure, Detective Daniela "Dan" Neely fights daily to earn respect in a Boston Police Department steeped in traditions as old as time. She works obsessively, determined to crack the big case-a recent string of deaths that plague the city-to prove that her father, a local pharmaceuticals magnate, didn't buy the position for her.

When she is called to the crime scene of the newest victim, a beloved friend with a secret past, her determination morphs into an icy resolve. Dan knows the murderer must be found at any cost, because Dan comes with a past of her own---and someone knows it. Has it come back to haunt her too? A failed attempt on Dan's own life tells her that someone will stop at nothing to get what they want. But what is that?

Unexpectedly, a childhood enemy-turned-FBI-agent appears to assist on the case. Is he friend or foe? Or arriving to deliver payback from a teenage encounter gone terribly wrong? Big Pharma, family connections, and past secrets all point to a conspiracy that Dan is desperate to figure out.

Dan is in a race against the clock...

...before she gets thrown off the case

...before their secrets are discovered

...before she becomes the next victim.
