Oliver Hunkin was best known as the pioneering head of the religious programmes at the BBC in the 1960s. He read theology at Oxford, served as an assistant priest at Peterborough and worked for a few years in the film industry. Oliver Hunkin helped with the creation of The Dangerous Journey, an abridged version of The Pilgrim's Progress, by carefully selected words from John Bunyan's original timeless story to present a gripping narrative for children.
