Residencies, exhibitions and quotidian domestic affairs--notes on a life and marriage by Philip Guston's wife, Musa McKim Guston
Drawing upon Musa McKim's (1908-92) journals and poetry from 1966 to 1976, Life with P. paints an intimate and candid portrait of both McKim's life as a writer as well as her marriage to the esteemed painter Philip Guston. A rich collection of artworks and archival photographs documents the couple's domestic and social lives and the fellow artists and writers who comprised their world. Alongside her introduction, notes by the couple's daughter Musa Mayer provide valuable context to her mother's writings.
