Over Yonder: A Poet's Exploration of South Carolina's State Parks

Over Yonder continues Glenis Redmond's poetic journey through South Carolina's 47 state parks, deepening her exploration of nature, memory, and resilience.

In this companion to The Song of Everything, Redmond's words move like water over stone-shaping, reflecting, and revealing the lessons of the land. With her grandson Julian as a traveling companion, she gathers history, solace and stories of wide-open spaces, and the wisdom found beneath beckoning pines and along winding trails.

Now ten, Julian becomes an even more deeply observant traveling companion. On a few of these excursions they are joined by Glenis's other two grandchildren-Paisley, age three, and Quinn, age two.
