Czarnecki, Jack: - Jack Czarnecki is a Reading, Pennsylvania native who took over the family restaurant, Joe's, with his wife, Heidi, and later moved out west where they started the Joel Palmer House restaurant in Dayton, Oregon. He fell in love with truffles after moving to Oregon, and began making truffle oil as a retirement project. One of his previous cookbooks, A Cook's Book of Mushrooms, is a James Beard award winner.
