Dr. Jalal A. Jazayeri earned his PhD from the University of Limerick in Republic of Ireland, following a Master of Science in Biotechnology and Biological Engineering from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. After completing his doctorate, he undertook five years of postdoctoral research in cancer cell biology at the University of Western Austalia and Royal Perth Hospital in Western Australia, where he advanced laboratory-based investigations into cancer progression and therapeutic responses.

He was subsequently appointed as an academic at Monash University in Melbourne, where he spent a decade teaching Molecular and Cell Biology and Pharmaceutical Microbiology to students in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences programs.
