God's promise to build the church that can prevail over all of the Devil's attacks is given for a time such as today. It will not be the church in a bunker or a fortress, striving for its own comfort. Rather, it will be the church that is willing to abandon its own interests in favour of God's Kingdom, willing to make good on its words that Jesus must increase even as it decreases, ready to trade in the decorations of this world for the honours that God bestows in His Kingdom.
