He is also a reviewer of art books from American and European publishers and nonfiction books on cultural studies, history, and other subjects from university presses. For more than 25 years, he has been active in the interrelated writing and publishing fields as a freelance writer and editor, publishing columnist, publishing consultant for independent publishers and authors, literary agent, and creative writing teacher. He has degrees in philosophy from Fairfield University and Georgetown University.
