Geiger, Lilanie K.: - Lilanie Kadirgamar Geiger inherited her love for cooking from her mother to whom she has dedicated this cookbook. She was born in Sri Lanka and immigrated with her family to the United States in 1970 to Boston, Massachusetts. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University and specialized in Satellite Telecommunications and after 40 years in Corporate America in Technical Operations and Sales, she retired in December 2014. She was fortunate enough to work for companies that had businesses in the US and abroad and spent several years in Asia, as an expatriate in Malaysia and Singapore. Her passion for cooking, travel, and learning cultures in different countries led her to learn the foods, presentation and customs through the friends and acquaintances she made in her travels.
