Robin Stevens nació en California y creció en Oxford, Inglaterra, justo frente a la casa donde vivió Alicia en el País de las Maravillas. Ha inventado historias desde siempre. Pasó su adolescencia en el Cheltenham Ladies' College, un internado en Inglaterra, donde leía muchas novelas de misterio y soñaba con tener la oportunidad de resolver algún crimen ella misma (cosa que no ocurrió). Más adelante, fue a la universidad, donde estudió ficción criminal, y trabajó en una editorial de libros infantiles.

Robin Stevens was born in California and grew up in Oxford, England, across the road from the house where Alice in Wonderland lived. She has been making up stories all her life. She spent her teenage years at Cheltenham Ladies' College, a boarding school in England, reading a lot of murder mysteries and hoping that she'd get the chance to do some detecting herself (she didn't). She then went to university, where she studied crime fiction, and worked at a children's publisher.
