As a young stepmom, Kassandra searched high and low for the storybook that her stepson can relate to and find connection. When she couldn't find that book, she decided she would write it for him. Now divorced and remarried, though very much still connected with her stepson, her mission is to highlight the loving relationships in stepfamilies.

Kassandra has an undergraduate degree in English Writing and will graduate from Boise State University in 2022 with a Master Degree in Communication. The focus of her Master's work was social views of stepfamilies within the context of narrative theory, which helped bring this book to life.

Kassandra enjoys spending time with her husband and her children (step and biological), camping, hiking, horseback riding, and traveling. She enjoys playing at being an influencer on social media and is breaking into the podcast world. She also writes and reads endlessly. Lana Lee is a talented artist based out of Pittsburg focused on highlighting her stories simple, yet beautifully unique style.
