Growing up in a small farming town in New Zealand, Malcolm has always been looking for ways to grow. In the 90's he moved to Australia and became a part of a start-up company in the bottled water industry. Growing that company to a multi-million dollar business for 10 years set much of Malcolm's management and conflict resolution style. Maybe it was his upbringing on the farm, his boss at the time, or maybe it's just in his genes. It was during that period that he developed his personal management style of natural, respectful open communication. He left the Spring Water Company in 2001 to run his own construction businesses and as a Franchisor. With plenty of ups and downs along the way, he met and married the love of his life and together grew a family to include two wonderful boys. Malcolm has worked for several Not for Profit organisations, including, Lifeline Melbourne, Red Cross Australia and The Salvation Army as well as running his own businesses. Malcolm continues to be involved with Lifeline, (a crisis and suicide help line) taking calls and helping people at their most vulnerable time. Because of his work and personal development at Lifeline, Malcolm chose the next natural progression in his career and became a qualified mediator, expanding his crisis phone-line skills into a career. Since becoming a nationally accredited mediator he has been effectively working with individuals and companies to reduce conflict in the workplace, and training others to do this too. It became apparent pretty quickly that by reducing people's conflict, their productivity increased significantly as a result. His first book, "Boost Your Team's Productivity by Reducing Workplace Conflict", teaches readers how to get the best out of their team, improve their team culture and increase productivity. Malcolm continues to live in Melbourne Australia with his wife and two teenage boys. Connect with Malcolm at; FB: MIM Mediation - Malcolm Guy Twitter: @Mim_Mediation Website: www.mimmediation.net
