The year 2009 marks the 50th anniversary of this series of lectures delivered by Professor John Murray of Westminster Theological Seminary, as well as the 500th anniversary of the birth of John Calvin.
The year 2009 marks the 50th anniversary of the delivery of this series of lectures delivered by Professor John Murray of Westrminister Theological Seminary, as well as the 500th anniversary of the birth of John Calvin. We are honored to be able to produce a new hardcover volume which includes, for the first time, a subject and scriptural index. "John Murray was not only one of the most renowned twentieth-century representatives of classical Reformed theology, but also a highly-respected interpreter of Calvin. Here we have Murray's vigorous refutation of arguments suggesting that Calvin did not teach the inerrancy of Scripture. Murray also demonstrates that Calvin did not consider Christ's identity as the divine Word to be in any way prejudicial to Scripture being the very Word of God as well.
