43 seconds to Hiroshima

August 6, 1945, was the day the world was forever changed. The first atomic bomb ever used in the history of warfare was released over the city of Hiroshima, Japan. Only twelve men were privileged to be on that historic flight, and only one was allowed to be the radio operator. Richard H. Nelson invites the reader into his life and gives his unique perspective on that infamous day when Japan was brought to their knees, finally bringing the bloodiest war in the history of the world to a conclusion.
