Stotlar-Hedberg, Cynthia B.: - Being a caregiver while staying sane is one of my strengths. I want to share ways to help you.As an only child, it seems I was always "it" when it came to caregiving. When my grams got stomach cancer, I was "it" since my gramps were gone and my folks lived two states away. When my parents became seriously ill in their late 70s, I was "it". Then my husband of twenty-five was given a week to a month to live due to cancer, again I was "it".Seven years later I remarried. My new husband was diagnosed with cancer, and once again, I was "it". Over the next three years, he was diagnosed with two other cancers and eventually succumbed after 41/2 years of marriage. If I can do it, so can you! I'll share my ideas on staying insane.
