Altruism

The nineties are particularly tough for young people exposed to the crime and violence of the mean streets of New York City. With good education, family support and the philosophy of altruism, some will likely survive to lead productive lives. As the action-packed, complex plot involving death threats, drugs, romance and inopportune pregnancies evolves, we see the characters struggle to make the right choices against many odds. Will strong family support and good education be enough to save the characters from their woes?

David Otebele is a resident of Seattle. A social worker with the State of Washington Social Welfare Administration. He has a B.A. in Public Administration/Government, and an M.A. in Political Science. He enjoys reading, writing, exercising, jogging, and refereeing local soccer leagues in Seattle and its environs.
