Baby Steven's Gift of Life

Steven Coffee, II is a miracle baby. In 2012, he was the youngest person--at only eight-week old-- in the United States to have a liver transplant due to a metabolic condition called Galactosemia. On Thanksgiving Day, Steven's parents noticed a swollen area on his leg. As new parents, they rushed him to the hospital only to have their concerns partially dismissed. They later found out Baby Steven was very sick and a living miracle was about to unfold.

This story shares how Baby Steven and his family overcame the fear of the unknown, forged a partnership with his medical team, and a guardian angel, and how a heaven-sent donor helped save his life and inspire change in medicine.
