Behind the Veil

Catherine Maiorisi lives in New York City. She is passionate about writing and has written five romances--Matters of the Heart, No One But You, Ready for Love, Taking a Chance on Love, and Love Among the Ruins.

Catherine also writes the NYPD Detective Chiara Corelli Mystery series which includes A Matter of Blood, a 2019 Lambda Literary Award Finalist, The Blood Runs Cold, a 2020 Lambda Literary Award Finalist and A Message in Blood, and Legacy in the Blood, a 2020 Goldie finalist. Blood of the Innocent, the fifth book in the series will be released in late 2024.

Her Goldie winning The Disappearance of Lindy James, was her first general fiction.

Catherine's romance short stories are included in three Bella Books anthologies--Happily Ever After, Conference Call, and In This Together. Come as You Want to Be and The Fan Club are standalones available on the Bella website. Her four mystery short stories can be found in the Murder New York Style Anthologies--Fresh Slices, Family Matters, Where Crime Never Sleeps and Justice for All.

She is a member of Sisters in Crime, Mystery Writers of America, the Golden Crown Literary Society, and Miss Demeanors, a crime writer's blog.
