Birds of Costa Rica

Patricia Fogden is a photographer and author. With her husband Michael, Patricia specialised in documenting the wealth of natural history stories that are to be found in Neotropical rain forests and bringing the discoveries of tropical biologists into the popular literature.

Patricia and Michael's photographs have appeared in numerous calendars and books. In 2008 they received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA). Patricia and Michael lived in Costa Rica for many years, documenting the wildlife of one of the most biodiverse places on earth.
