Biscuit Giver: /biskit /ˈɡivər/ n. one who uses his or her position in life, available resources, and influence to help those around them in a positive manner. If there has ever been a time when individuals need to help and encourage one another, NOW is the time. In this book, Dr. Barry Amacker, an educator, author, speaker, and musician challenges readers to become biscuit givers. Biscuit Givers promotes the notion that all of us have something to offer those within and around our circle of influence. Through personal examples, life experiences, relevant research and scriptures, Dr. Amacker gives readers a sample biscuit from 12 baskets of helpful ideas for becoming biscuit givers. Additionally, potential barriers to giving and receiving biscuits are explored and the reader receives ideas and strategies to accomplish the successful completion of the biscuit giving process. In addition to his education career, Dr. Amacker served as minister of music for several churches and was a musician in the Gospel Four. He has written several songs that have been recorded by various groups. As the author of three previous books, Dr. Amacker is a motivational speaker for schools, colleges and churches. Moreover, he has a daily radio program and a YouTube channel. He and his wife Kathy have two children and three grandchildren. From a long list of accomplishments, he is most proud to be called "Papa Bear," by his grandchildren.
