Broken Minds

This debut collection of poems has been compiled together to bring people face to face with emotions and sometimes, quite troubled emotions at that. The feelings of helplessness, anger, resentment and rage have had a literal outlet through these poems. Sometimes people find that they have no-one to turn to, no-one to listen to their stories without passing judgement and thus these poems are an expression of these repressed emotions, allowing a somewhat peaceful outlet.

This book is constructed this book in four parts: Depression & Futility, Love & Strength, Loathing & Consequence, and finally Searching & Hopeful. The reason for doing this is to represent the peaks and troughs of life: even at my lowest points, there would be a sudden smile from a stranger; that embrace that would momentarily take away the pain, or some words serving as a reminder of the author's worth in this world, when she could no longer see it herself.
