Choosing Happiness: A Study of the Beatitudes

We examine one of the most sought-after gifts of life: happiness. Declared as a right to pursue, happiness is probably the most valued concept in all the world, coming second (maybe) to love.

Who doesn't want to be happy? Every day we see people pursuing happiness to no avail. They chase after relationships that don't provide companionship, substances that don't bring peace, better circumstances that have the same problems follow.

Whether you are a Christian or not, chances are you are seeking happiness, and there is only one place that we are going to find it and it is in the Savior. Jesus, in His most famous sermon, gives us attitudes to have that bring happiness and so much more.

This is not a step-by-step book; however, there is a set of attitudes that God gives us where we can experience happiness as a regular commodity in our lives. We will look at these Be-Attitudes in depth, exploring the meaning of, a Biblical example of, a personal testimony of, and some application questions about the beatitudes found in Matthew Chapter 5, verses three through eleven.
