I can truthfully say that out of all the things that I have done, the work that I did with the young players in our football organization was by far the most gratifying, enjoyable and fulfilling. Nothing I have done has given me the same enjoyment that coaching football has. If not for business constraints, I would still be coaching football today. I miss the game, I miss the children, I miss the excitement, I even miss the tension, and most of all, I just plain miss being around the sport and being involved with coaching. My years of coaching have given me hundreds of new children, and by the time they left my program, they were all my children. This kind of human experience can only come from you. Treat the players like your own children, and they will respect you for years to come, and finally, when you see them on the street many years later, you will experience the thrill of them calling to you, "Hey Coach"!"
