Clayton, Juliana Hoolihan: - Juliana "Hoolihan" Clayton is an indigenous woman of Turtle Island (First Nations Nehiyawak) who was adopted by a white family and raised on a cattle ranch in Wyoming. She has lived and worked with Native Americans and cowboys throughout the West during her years as a ranch hand and wild land firefighter. She has engaged in extensive research on various topics and has been published in western historical magazines, such as "True West" and "Wild West." Through her research, she has stumbled upon enigmas of the past and has accumulated abundant topics for a succession of detective stories pertaining to the 19th century American West. She has a degree in history and education from the University of Montana and it has long been her goal to create a series of novels that are entertaining, but at the same time rife with impeccable research and unique cultural perspectives on American history.
