Hogue, Ann: - Ann Hogue grew up in Albany, Missouri. She loved the serenity of the countryside, the fields, farm animals, and nature, which helped to inspire the illustrations for this book. Ann studied art in Florence, Italy, but returned to her hometown to teach middle/high school art at the Albany public school.
