Dawn on a Distant Shore

Elizabeth and Nathaniel Bonner settle at the edge of the New York wilderness in 1794, and Elizabeth soon gives birth to twins. Nathaniel learns his father is arrested in Canada, and on his way to help, he, too, is arrested. In a desperate bid to save her husband, Elizabeth bundles her infants and sets out on the dangerous trek to Canada.
