Sumo, Jean-Marie: - Dr. Jean-Marie Sumo is the organizer of Christ Disciple Mission Worldwide, a charitable organization that began its road mission in the District of Columbia with the purpose of uplifting the standard of life of the hurting people. Toward that goal, he developed his strong Free Food Distribution and Homeless Restoration Program. His outreach activities allowed him to serve as member of the Capital Area Food Bank Agency Advisory Panel for many years. After 14 years of operations in the nation's capital, God commanded him to relocate to Atlanta, GA and ordered his steps on the path of academic journey and achievement. He earned a Master of Theological Studies (from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary [PTS], Cleveland, Tennessee) and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Organizational Leadership (from Beulah Heights University, Atlanta, Georgia). After serving two diplomatic missions in Africa, the British Embassy, and Consulate of the United States of America from 1985 to 1993, he left the secular world of business enterprises to respond to God's call as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was ordained a Pastor in January 1994 before he finally settled with his wife in Washington DC in July that same year. Their lives and ministry have impacted many families in different parts of the United States and abroad. God has blessed them with three wonderful children, Elisha, Elizabeth and Jean-Marie Jr., all serving the Lord Jesus today with love and passion.Dr. Sumo is a gifted preacher/teacher who has preached and taught numerous sermons, seminars, and workshops on the subject of faith, healing, and kingdom building in Africa, Europe, Canada, and the United States. He is considered to be an expert in the areas of spiritual development, which is demonstrated through his personal experience and testimonies. He's now passionate to teach religion and business at the university, while running Christ Disciple Mission Worldwide, for the Lord Jesus Christ's Kingdom.
