After returning to the United States, Jason learns to adjust living with his Uncle Dan (his father's twin), Aunt Janie, and his cousin, Justin.

Jason must deal with survivor's guilt, and even more challenging is adjusting to his blindness. His remaining senses heighten so much, he feels a supernatural presence, even hearing its voice. It haunts the family.

Meanwhile, Nathan has linked Mengele to the Sao Paulo rent house where Jason and Jimmy stayed. The Rabbi has the secret to stopping the demon, but can he find the family in time?
