Donna Meyer lives in Overland Park, Kansas, with her husband of 48 years and loves living close to her four children and seven grandchildren. Donna was a full-time mother while her children were growing up. She always loved children's books, and reading to her young children was one of her favorite things. When her children were older and in school, she went to work in elementary education. She worked with students in Kindergarten through fifth grade in the school library, and then she worked with a reading specialist instructing students in reading. Many years ago, her son asked her, "If you could do anything, what would it be?" She replied, "I would love to write a children's book." Her son encouraged her over the years to do just that. After watching her children and grandchildren grow, she realized how quickly time flies, especially that first year of a baby's life. Don't Blink was written many years after her son first asked her that question. Today she is retired, enjoys watching her grandchildren grow, and tries not to blink.
