Among his award-winning books are They Call Me Güero / Me dicen Güero, My Two Border Towns / Mis dos pueblos fronterizos, Ancient Night / Noche antigua, and The Prince & the Coyote / El príncipe y la coyote. David currently serves as the vice president of the Texas Institute of Letters.
