Empowering IT and CAT Teachers: Second Edition

Breed, Betty: - Betty Breed was an associate professor in the subject group Computer Science Education in the Faculty of Education at the Potchefstroom Campus of the North-West University (South Africa). Since 2001, she has been involved in the training of IT/CAT teachers, specialising in Information Technology methodology. Her main research focus is the effective use of cooperative learning and metacognitive strategies in the teaching and learning of InformationTechnology and Computer Applications Technology to promote self-directed learning among students and scholars, and to empower teachers in these subjects.
