Currier, Carrie Liu: - Carrie Liu Currier is a Professor of Political Science at Texas Christian University and the Director of the National Consortium for Teaching about Asia in Texas. Her research focuses on Chinese politics, international relations, political economy, gender and politics, and Asian Americans in higher education. She is co-editor of China's Energy Relations with the Developing World (2011, Continuum Books) and Gender and Politics (forthcoming, DeGruyter), and has numerous articles addressing economic reform in China, China's foreign policy with the Middle East, energy policy, population policy, and Asian Pacific Americans in higher education. She is the past president of the Southwest Conference of Asian Studies and is the incoming president of the Western Political Science Association.
