Currie, Maureen: - Maureen Currie loves story telling. She enjoyed a career as a speech therapist in an urban school setting, often using children's literature to meet her student's needs. As a grief counselor, Maureen encouraged her students to write stories of their personal experience with loss. Maureen is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, as well as her local children's literature organization. She lives in Upstate New York with her husband.
