How to Build Boundaries

Boundaries are like a fence with gates, which are opened to what is good, yet are closed to whatever is bad. If I, however, closed shut my heart completely, and did not let it ever be opened, this fence is consequently transformed into a wall that completely isolates and imprisons me. Building boundaries is not against love and individuality, but makes clear our responsibilities and our role.

His Eminence Metropolitan Youssef, having many years of experience, reveals what healthy boundaries are, how to build them, and what are some obstacles to setting them.

H.E. Metropolitan Youssef was ordained Bishop in 1992 and elevated to Metropolitan in 2022 for the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of the Southern United States. His Eminence has completed a Ph.D. degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary University in San Antonio, TX.
