Some nights are just supposed to be an escape-nothing more, nothing less. A chance to breathe, forget the weight of the world, and lose yourself in the moment. I wasn't looking for love. Hell, I wasn't even looking for a man. I just needed a break-from the bills, the stress, the never-ending responsibility of being everything for everybody.

Then I met Bank Malone.

A walking nightmare to most. A menace. A killer. A man they whispered about like he was the devil himself. And yet, in my chaos, I found peace in him. The kind of peace that felt safe. Addictive. The kind you know better than to trust.
Sometimes, getting swept off your feet by the man you just know is HIM feels like a dream. The good morning texts, late-night FaceTimes, Netflix and chilling, the way he makes you laugh until your stomach hurts. Telling your girls about your so-called Big Dog like he really different. Everything sweet... until it ain't.

Then comes that morning. The nausea. The empty champagne bottles. The missed calls. The texts left on read. But I was still smiling when I sent that message-the one that changed everything.

Those five words crushed me.

It was supposed to be temporary. Just a moment. But what happens when a moment turns into something permanent? When the man who made you feel safe becomes the one who makes you question everything?
