Life in Ferrari Red

De (autor): Christian Martin

Christian Martin, born 1954, graduated from the French Institute of Photography, class of 1972. Assistant at the Carnot studio, he then began to sell paintings at Place du Tertre and in the USA. In 1979 he became Francis Giacobetti's assistant and collaborated with Lui magazine from 1980 where he took charge of the auto section. His collaborations extend to numerous fashion and automobile magazines. He also works for manufacturers such as Peugeot-Citroën, Audi, Opel, BMW. Christian Martin is the author of around 10 books devoted to his automobile passion. Jean-Marc Thévenet, born 1955, is an editor, comic book writer, television producer, exhibition curator and former director of the Angoulême festival (from 1998 to 2006). His career in the automobile industry began in 1964 when he graced the cover of L'Automobile magazine where he posed next to engineer Carlos Chiti's copy n°1 of the ATS. In 1987, he published 1960, The Years of Chrome, a work paying tribute to this decade where the automobile in all areas (cinema, fashion, advertising, major works, etc.) was driven by the enthusiasm of the Trente Glorieuses. After a wide detour into the world of comics, he returned to automobiles for a beautiful work L'Art Automobile, a biographical book on the career of Maître Hervé Poulain, honorary president of Artcurial, initiator of modern art cars and its iconic auctions.
