Life's Concerto: Wholeness through Poetry and Expressive Arts

Life's Concerto: Wholeness Through Poetry and Expressive Arts is a collection of poetry and artwork that celebrates life. Goslin-Jones explores awe, contemplation, dreams, death, grief, hope, love, Nature, silence, and spirituality. This profound and beautiful poetry collection interweaves rich visual imagery and awakens a yearning for wholeness. The poems and artwork arose from psychologist/educator/researcher Terri Goslin-Jones' spiritual practice using expressive arts to unravel paradoxes and mysteries that surface in the seasons of life. The author writes about childhood, mid-life, marriage, being a parent, family member, teacher, and universal sojourner. Life's Concerto is artmaking that opens doors to healing and embraces hope for life's complexities.

This book illustrates that poem-making is a process of artistic inquiry and a healing modality. Life's Concerto is designed to facilitate readers' personal growth and expand self-awareness. The Foreword, Introduction, poetry, and artwork demonstrate how an expressive arts practice can cultivate artistic inquiry within each of us. Writing invitations, creative practices, and poetry resources summon readers to use their life experiences as creative expression. Life's Concerto invites us on a collective journey to integrate poetry into therapy, research, teaching, and our personal lives for growth and self-actualization. It is sure to enrich the lives of many.
