Some secrets are best left alone...

Fifteen years after her father's death, 21-year-old Nell Cede lives an ordinary life in the small town of Woodland. She struggles to keep thoughts of her father out of her head. His name, the memories they shared, and even her dreams of their life together remain buried in the past. Until now...

After finding one of her father's old notebooks, Nell discovers strange drawings and scribbles describing a mysterious creature. A creature she thought she imagined long ago. And she's determined to find out if it's real.

To preserve her father's legacy and discover the truth about this mythical beast, Nell must dive into the past and resume his studies. But there are some who would rather those secrets stay buried.

And if Nell isn't careful, she may find that digging up the truth is more dangerous than she thought.
