Chrisman is the author of Victorian Secrets and This Victorian Life, as well as the editor of True Ladies & Proper Gentlemen. Alongside her husband, Gabriel, she gives presentations on nineteenth-century fashion and culture. She resides in Port Townsend, Washington.
