Fears in life gripped him since he was a young boy growing up in Chicago. Author and pastor Predest Dwayne Richardson recalls that fear always prevented him from enjoying life: from being bullied at school to being afraid to excel in career. However, in his new autobiography, Building the House of Love, Pastor Richardson mentions that being called into ministry by God encouraged him to face his fears and that he was in need of God's love. At that time, his life had great highs, such as a successful army career, to great lows, with addiction struggles, failed relationships and being homeless. Then he started witnessing miracles from God and felt led by the Heavenly Father to consider rebuilding a church community also in need of God.
