Oil Mill on the Texas Plains: A Study in Agricultural Cooperation

Awarded the B.A. degree from Baylor University and the LL. B. from Yale University, WILLIAM N. STOKES, JR., is an attorney in Dallas. As counsel for the Farm Credit Administration, the Houston Bank for Cooperatives, and the Federal Land Bank of Houston, and later as president of the Houston Bank for Cooperatives and then the Federal Intermediate Credit Bank of Houston, he helped draft legislation and implement programs of vital importance to cooperatives. He has been closely associated with the Plains Cooperative Oil Mill since its inception.
