Hatami, Matthew J.: - Matthew J. Hatami is a petroleum engineer and entrepreneur. He holds a degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from West Virginia University and an MBA from Columbia University. He is a licensed Professional Petroleum Engineer in the State of Oklahoma. Matthew started his career 18 years ago, working as a field engineer in Hobbs, New Mexico. He has worked in oil and gas operations across multiple basins in the United States and overseas, primarily focusing on shale development and frontier shale exploration. He has worked on the oilfield services side of the industry and on the operating side, including positions working with geology, land, drilling, completions, production, reservoir, regulatory, legal, accounting, finance, and corporate strategy. Before venturing into the entrepreneurial arena, he was the Director of Resource Development for American Energy Partners and American Energy Global Partners, with the latter focused on opportunities to create value by employing American shale technology in international markets. He lives with his wife in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
