One Way Journey

Born in Alimena, Italy, Elena Ungaro chronicles her journey from a novice nun to a young faith-filled Christian woman in search of her destiny in a foreign country thousands of miles away from home. Elena uses rich details to describe her life - a life filled with works of grace, joyful achievements, sufferings and new beginnings. Inviting the reader to come alongside, she writes with humor, honesty and sensitivity about her childhood, marriage and ministry. Together with her husband, Pasquale "Pops" Ungaro, their story goes on to prove that simple, childlike faith can make a profound difference between an ordinary life and an extraordinary one. Pasquale and Elena Ungaro currently reside in Chicago with Bella their dog. They are eagerly living out their 'macchiato' faith to bring God's love, reconciliation and restoration to those who need it most.
