While settling in the countryside isn't quite the life he'd pictured for himself, he knows this will be the best place to raise his daughter and find stable work. But when he first arrives at his new home, he has an unexpected--and rather harsh--first meeting with the head of the village. The village head seems gruff and unfriendly, but despite his temper, he winds up offering Sung Ho help at every turn! Can Sung Ho and his daughter have a life of sunshine and happiness in Nuldongmae village, or is a bigger storm brewing?
