Pandemic in China

Trapped in China. Torn from Germany. One woman's raw account of survival, solitude, and seismic shifts.

When the protagonist left for northern China, she expected a teaching job-what she didn't expect was a front-row seat to the global pandemic. Pandemic in China is a gripping memoir that traces her emotional and physical journey through the COVID outbreak, stranded far from home as borders closed and chaos unfolded. As she navigates quarantine, cultural contrast, and a fractured family back in Germany, readers are immersed in a powerful reflection on resilience, justice, and the fragility of modern life. With haunting honesty and philosophical insight, the protagonist exposes both systemic failures and quiet acts of hope. This is more than a pandemic story-it's a personal reckoning with the world as it unraveled.
