Physics & Basketball: The Student Athlete's Guide to Improving on and off the Court

Dorian Bohler is a scientist, educator, and leader who is committed to inspiring youth to excel in the field of science and technology. A native of Detroit, Dorian knew from an early age that academics would take him far places. He is a product of the dual degree engineering program at Morehouse College and the Georgia Institute of Technology where he studied Physics and Mechanical Engineering. After undergrad, he returned to his hometown to study High Energy Nuclear Physics at Wayne State University. Upon graduating, Dorian worked on the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) which is headquartered in Southern France. During this time frame, he also wrote software and developed applications at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory for the United States Department of Energy (DOE). He has spent the last five years as a Physicist at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory which is operated by Stanford University for the DOE. When he's not working at the lab Dorian serves as Board Member and Youth Program Director for Kappa Community Projects 501c3 in Oakland, California which provides scholarships, Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) education, and leadership training to young men of color in the Bay Area.
