She throws knives for a living. Now every throw has to count.

When her big Vegas deal collapses, Genevieve "Blade" Broussard is left with an impalement act, a set of throwing knives, and nothing in the bank. Then a mysterious offer arrives: one million dollars for a single private performance at a billionaire's villa on Mallorca. It's the payday of a lifetime.

It's also a trap.

Behind the yachts, the guards, and her host's charming smile lies a conspiracy with a body count--and a weapon already en route to Geneva. When Blade overhears plans for an attack on the United Nations, she becomes the only witness to a plot that reaches from the Mediterranean to the halls of American power.

No one believes a knife-thrower from New Orleans. Not the authorities. Not the embassy. So Blade runs--hunted across Mallorca, Florence, and the Swiss Alps by mercenaries with orders to silence her--until a centuries-old clandestine order offers her something better than protection: a chance to fight back.

She has seventy-two hours to stop it. Her only weapons are six knives and dead-perfect aim.

A story of family betrayal, hidden identity, and the collision of faith and vengeance, Pierce the Darkness launches the Blade Broussard international thriller series. Perfect for readers of James Rollins, Dan Brown, and Steve Berry.
